A seat that brings the garden to life

The story behind our cover photo for 2026

For the cover of our megawood® magazine 2026, we deliberately chose a family garden. Not a classic patio area directly attached to the house, but a separate seating area in the garden – as a destination, a haven of peace, a place to explore. Such places invite you to walk through the garden, experience it and perceive it in new ways again and again. It is precisely this apparent simplicity that is in fact a masterpiece of planning: proportions, lines of sight, materials and planting must interact perfectly to create a place that feels natural – and that is precisely what makes it so special.

The planting around the seating area gently frames the area, the transition to the sandpit is fluid, and the megawood® terrace provides a calm, warm stage for family life and impresses with its durability and suitability for everyday use. Details like these show that professionals who understand their craft were at work here.

When a product becomes
a living space

The Burelbach company from Luxembourg (Echternach) doesn't just build gardens – it plans living spaces. In their own show garden, the two garden designers Stefan and Marco create holistic garden concepts in which every detail is perfect. Here, they create gardens that are much more than just outdoor spaces for their customers: they are an extension of the living room under the open sky.
What all Burelbach projects have in common is the desire to harmonise design, function and atmosphere. Terraces, seating areas, paths, furniture, sun protection, lighting and decoration are not considered individually, but planned as a whole. This is exactly where megawood® has been a natural fit for over 20 years – as a material that not only works, but also supports design.
Projects that make a statement- Garden Design from Luxemburg

The terrace in the project shown in the photo below was also constructed using megawood®. A subtle anthracite grey deliberately blends into the overall design and does not dominate the foreground. Good garden design requires materials that create space – for plants, architecture and atmosphere. This is exactly what the designers at Burelbach in Luxembourg have appreciated for many years. Do you like what you see? Perhaps your project will be featured on the next cover.
