We at megawood® fulfil the new needs that arise from this with our **recyclable products.** Since the **essential component of recyclability is the return of the material** after use, you have the **choice between a classic purchase contract and a contract of use**  based on usufruct with all our dealers.The latter ensures 100% return to us, which is not necessarily the case with a purchase contract, and also offers you exclusive advantages.

All megawood® products made from the [GCC (German Compact Composite) wood-based material](https://www.megawood.com/index.php%20option=com_content&view=article&id=1310) are:

**Regional**made from [shavings from the regional planing and sawing industry](https://www.megawood.com/en/material/good-reasons#Materialphilosophie) with a minimum of additives.

**Healthy material**Each individual ingredient has been tested for its safety and suitability for the environment and health.

**Recyclable**GCC wood-based material is 100% recyclable, without any loss of quality due to downcycling.

**Climate positive**produced with renewable energy and is used for the permanent storage of carbon.

**Responsible**produced according to
 high social standards in Germany.

**Tested and certified**by independent and global testing and certification bodies, e.g. the [Cradle to Cradle Product Innovation Institute.](https://www.megawood.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=913)

###  By concluding a usage contract, we can create an endless product cycle together and make a statement against wasting resources and waste!

##   What is a contract of use?\*

The alternative to the classic purchase contract is our **contract of use**. This is a contractually agreed return to preserve the material flow. Both sides benefit from the resulting liability and contribute to the conservation of resources. **You can also conclude the utilisation contract through our specialist dealers.**

You are **granted the unrestricted right to use the megawood® products for the intended purpose for 30 years** with the condition that, if you are no longer interested in the products, they will be **returned to the owner and manufacturer NOVO-TECH for further recycling.** This ensures that the material is returned to NOVO-TECH and fed back into the **material cycle in the specially built NOVO-TECH Circular.** So that new products are created from your megawood® products and we preserve the valuable raw materials of our earth for future generations.

\*We currently only offer the usage contract in Germany. However, we are working on offering it throughout Europe in the near future.

Within sight of our main megawood® site, we have built a **new factory for the future called "Circular"**. This is where we will process GCC products from existing **take-back systems as well as new raw materials, including GRP from discarded wind turbine rotor blades**. Our vision is clear: We want the more than 16 million m2 of decking boards that have been installed since 2005 to come back to us at the end of their useful life and be completely returned to our production. We have created the capacity required for this with Circular and have closed the material cycle. An independent expert has estimated that the **equivalent of the CO2 depot created in this way is up to 200,000 t/a.**

##   Your Benefits

You **do not have to worry about the disposal of megawood® products.** New products are made from the discarded megawood® products. By concluding a usage contract, **you make a contribution to climate change** by:

**Securing resources**for the next generations. Every megawood® product will be the raw material for new GCC products.

**Conserving resources**no additional new raw material resources are required for the reuse of used megawood® products.

**Binding resources**The carbon is permanently bound in the GCC over many generations and applications and is not released into the atmosphere as CO2 through combustion.

- Pay a **one-time usage fee** with debt-discharging effect directly to your craftsman or dealer.
- **Use your megawood® products for 30 years** without any further payment obligations to the manufacturer and owner.
- After expiration of the contract period (30 years), or earlier if desired, NOVO-TECH will take back your product **via the Germany-wide return system installed at megawood® specialty retailers and** will refund you a cash back of €200.00 per ton.

##   Why do we favor the circular economy model?

The population is growing and resources are becoming scarce. The demand for raw materials is constantly increasing. The most consistent idea for sustainability is provided by circular economy, eco-effectiveness and the design principle[ Cradle to Cradle®.](https://www.megawood.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=913)

In **linear waste management**, resources and raw materials are extracted, processed and generally used for a specific purpose. After the product has reached the end of its useful life, it is disposed of in a landfill or thermally recycled.
In **recycling,** discarded products are reprocessed into a new product. The waste products are usually broken down into their individual parts and reassembled.

Products, however, must be conceived and designed in such a way that they are free of pollutants and healthy, do not produce waste and are continuously kept in material cycles. **Circular economy** and **eco-effectiveness** are the most consistent approaches if we want to conserve resources and make them available for our grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Our GCC wood composite is already part of a material recycling loop and thus an important raw material store for the future of our products – without the use of further natural resources. The new NOVO-TECH Circular production facility is currently being built in the industrial park in Aschersleben, not far from the previous main plant, for the return, preparation and processing of used products.
